1. WHOIS is a query and response protocol that is used for querying databases that store an Internet resource's registered users or assignees. Network administrators often utilize this service to find out the owner of an IP address.
2. For example, on lilina, you may run "whois 8.8.8.8" to see that 8.8.8.0/24 is registered by Google Corp.
3. Try to find other IPv4/IPv6 addresses. For example,
   • 2402:7500:a16:473e::
   • 2401:e180:8d81:9a33::
   • 2001:e10:6840:22::
   • 2001:48a8:68fe::52
   and use "whois" to check these addresses are registered by which organization.
4. Use your mobile phone (with 4G/5G connection rather than WiFi) to visit https://whatismyipaddress.com/. It will show both IPv4/IPv6 addresses of your phone. (Please note that the IPv4 address shown on that webpage may be a public IPv4 address of your NAT device.) Use "whois" to check these addresses are registered by which organization. Compare your result with your classmates.
